Literature Text

Holy Jeans

They sit in the back of your class
And all the cool kids laugh and laugh
And mock them in the halls
Their clothes just smell, full of holes
And are stained where they're not torn.
They never speak, or just lash out in their anger,
And sit alone in the cafeteria eating their only meal
For their lonely day.
These, the wounded, walk among you
Wishing that more than your friendship
For just one day
They could live in your home.

I identify with what you wrote. I'm not from a broken home but at times I think we all feel that awful feeling of judgement coming from others.
